Sydkustleden follows southern Sweden’s coast between Simrishamn and Helsingborg. The 260 km route combines beaches, historical settings, local inns and city visits, including Malmö.

Six sections along the southern coast

The official portal divides the route into six sections. These can be ridden individually, combined for a shorter holiday or linked for the entire journey between Simrishamn and Helsingborg.

Beach stops and visits to historical places can be combined with time in Malmö and Helsingborg. The route’s coastal setting offers a different journey from the forest-to-coast Sydostleden, which is presented separately on the same portal.

Planning the ride

The map planner identifies places to visit and practical points such as water supplies. The website offers GPX files, printed maps and information about signs and surfaces.

Public-transport guidance, hire and booking resources help arrange access and individual stages. Region Skåne coordinates development of the route, with contact details and practical questions available through the official portal.
