The Pomarańczowa trasa górska is a local cycling route on the north-western slopes of Ślęża. Sobótka municipality describes a loop from Przełęcz pod Wieżycą towards Sady and back to the pass. Broad roads and a course that largely follows the contours give the ride a different character from a direct ascent of the mountain.
From the pass towards Sady
Sobótka’s published itinerary begins at Przełęcz pod Wieżycą, also called Kamienne Siodło. From there it heads towards Sady before returning to Sobótka and the pass. The municipality presents it as a circular excursion on Ślęża’s north-western side.
Keep the Polish place names handy when consulting local information: the municipality’s description gives the pass and the direction of Sady, but does not provide a turn-by-turn account of every junction.
The character of the ride
The municipality describes broad roads, with a substantial part of the route following the contours. Its account characterises the climbs as modest and the descents as easy.
Ślęża forms part of the Ślęża Landscape Park. The municipality’s guide to the massif describes forests, streams and protected plants in the wider area; it does not place particular natural features directly on the orange route.
Planning around Sobótka
Sobótka is the reference town for this ride, while the named starting point is the pass beneath Wieżyca. Before setting off, check locally for current access and trail conditions.
The orange route is listed separately from the Niebieska trasa górska. Both begin at Przełęcz pod Wieżycą, but the municipality describes different itineraries, so use the orange route’s own description when planning.
