Bike Festival Austria brings bicycle brands, test rides and cycling activities to Messe Wels. Organized by Messe Wels, the 2027 exhibition takes place on 30–31 January and covers everything from e-bikes and urban mobility to gravel, road and mountain bikes.

Exhibition and test rides

The festival is designed for both recreational and experienced cyclists, with an exhibition spanning e-bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes, road bikes and urban mobility. Visitors can explore different styles of cycling in one place and try bikes on test courses at the fair.

The organizer describes a large indoor test course in the exhibition hall for trying and comparing models from different brands. Shows, demonstrations, workshops and talks also form part of the announced programme.

Dates, halls and opening hours

The 2027 festival runs on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January in Hall 21 at Messe Wels. It opens from 09:00 to 18:00 on Saturday and from 09:00 to 17:00 on Sunday. Admission is available until 30 minutes before closing.

Two other outdoor fairs take place at the same time: Fishing Festival and Bogensportmesse, the archery fair. They are in Hall 20, and one ticket gives admission to all three events.

Tickets and visitor information

For 2027, the organizer lists an adult day ticket at €13.50 and a child ticket for ages six to 13 at €8; children under six enter free. The listed reduced day ticket costs €12 and is available only at the on-site ticket offices. Eligible groups include young people aged 14–18, students up to age 24 and several other categories.

Adult visitors arriving by public transport can obtain the reduced price at the ticket office by showing a valid OÖVV ticket. Print-at-home tickets are offered for the adult and child categories; the ticket page states that cancellations and rebookings are not possible. Dogs in the exhibition area must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle.

Getting to Messe Wels

Messe Wels is at Messeplatz 1, 4600 Wels. The organizer recommends continuing from Wels Hauptbahnhof to Wels Messe station on the Almtalbahn; visitors can check current train times before travelling. The fairground is also a short walk from Kaiser-Josef-Platz, or reachable by bus to Wels Schwimmbad.

For drivers, the organizer recommends the Wels West motorway exit and gives Maria-Theresia-Straße 32 as the navigation address. Free visitor parking is listed at Messegelände West and the trotting track. Bicycle stands are available at Messegelände West in front of the exhibition centre.
